Hiatus, Drops and Good Ends

Hiatus instructions

The following form is for use when you need to take a break from Decollage, but you intend to return within two weeks!*

Your options for hiatus are:

Lost: Your character literally got lost! They wandered too deep into the library and had difficulty finding their way back.

Painting-napped: A painting decided to take your character for a while. A pair of arms shot out while they weren’t paying attention and pulled them in. The bigger portrait can't be used for hiatuses, only the NPC portraits!

*For major life events, we may accept longer hiatuses, but please email us to discuss your exceptional circumstances.

Dropping Instructions

The following form is for use when dropping a character that doesn't qualify for good end. If you want to drop a character via this method then we don't have a preference as to whether you email us at the mod account, or drop a comment here! But follow this form, and head either your comment or your email with DROPPING:[CHARACTERNAME]

Good Ends

Winning is the ultimate goal of all characters in Deco! After having gone through all of this, they win their wish, the desire that drew them to Deco. And possibly more importantly, they finally get the fuck out of this hell-hole, to never return, along with getting back the last of their memories or skills! (If the player in question wishes it, of course) So with all that going down, good ending is a bit of a Big Deal. ICly it will be treated with quite a bit of pomp and circumstance, and once good-ended, that version of the character will be unappable to Deco.

The requirements/procedures on winning are as follows:

۞ A character must be currently active and have been active in Deco for a total of nine months to be able to Good End. If you are not sure how long you've been playing, email the mod account.

۞ There are no requirements as to number of memories or your character's place in his/her character arc. That is up to your discretion.

۞ "Total of nine months" does mean it is cumulative of all time you have spent playing the character, and excluding any gaps of time while the character was dropped. We'd prefer not to have to count hiatuses, so we'll trust you guys to use your good judgment here.

۞ You may apply at only eight months in game, but characters can not ICly win until they have concluded their ninth month.

۞ You must apply for Good End at least two weeks before you wish to drop.

۞ Good end wishes must be singular, as in characters can only wish for one "thing". Bob cannot wish for a pony and a reindeer and eternal life; he may wish for one of those. A good policy is to keep an eye out for "and"s in your wishes!

۞ In order to begin the Good End process, you must fill out the form below and e-mail it to decollagemods@gmail.com. The purpose of this is to open up a dialogue between yourself and the mods as to how we can customize the endgame to be awesome and satisfying.
