NPC Applications

NPC APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN.
Before getting to what the app for NPCs consists of, there’s some things to keep in mind about playing a painting:

  • You are playing a painting primarily as an NPC, not just as OC second or third character.  As such, be aware they are there to fulfill an OOC purpose for the RP, running games and likely later on to fulfill roles for plot stuff.  If you app one, you are agreeing to possible jossing as the plot calls for it.
  • The paintings are not all-powerful god equivalents!  They only control the worlds inside their own paintings, in which they can design games, resurrect, kill, whatever.  Outside of their own paintings though, they are about at the level of the top of the power-cap!  If killed, they’ll just respawn inside their own paintings.  Though, people should be aware that killing a painting is not really.  Smart. . .  Depending on their personality, they might take it out on the perpetrator and the other competitors in the next game.
  • Paintings are not reliable sources of information: all of the paintings agree that all of the other creations know exactly jack squat about this world, how it exists, why it exists, ect.  But some of them can be asked for their own “histories” anyway, but they’ll be accurate to the painting’s narrative, not to the whole world.

You must read up on and familiarize yourself with the following sections before applying:

NPC APPS:

OOC INFO:
Name:
Plurk/DW/ect: If applicable
Timezone:

Painting Title:  What they’re using as a name!  Something like Woman in Red or Toy Soldier is fine.
Painting Description:  What the portrait looks like hanging on the wall.
Portrait World:  What the inside of the world is like!  This is where your NPC will hold games, etcetera.  It should have elements taken from the description of how it looks on the outside.  Your painting is able to change this as they like, but the general theme of the place should stay the same.

Painting Personality:  How are you going to play them!

Painting Role:  The important part: what kinds of games are you going to run with them, what are you using them for.  This should match up to the personality.  So, if you painting DOES NOT LIKE PEOPLE they might run UNSAFE games because :E HATE PEOPLE WANT YOU TO SUFFER, or it could be DON’T LIKE PEOPLE so I’m going to only run games that won’t help you get any closer to home. :T  Only winning soap forever from me!!

Painting Goals: What do you oocly hope to use this painting to achieve? Some example goals include: to hold games that encourage cross-team CR, to encourage conflict, to drop plot hintsss, to discourage self-sacrifice, etc
